Barcelona Offers No Pressure for Loaned Star Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford asserts that he finds not a single thing at Barcelona as "a pressure" and is embracing a "new language of football" as he keeps flourishing following his transfer from Manchester United.

"I don't perceive anything here as like a pressure. It's just, I'm here to perform on the pitch," Rashford told reporters.

The twenty-eight-year-old England forward joined the Spanish club on a loan deal in the summer after a challenging period at Old Trafford, which featured a latter part of last season spent on loan at Aston Villa.

Stellar Beginnings in Spain

His switch to La Liga has been a clear triumph thus far, with the player netting six goals and providing eight assists in twenty-one outings.

"It has been fantastic. I feel accepted. I've just been appreciating every step of the way," he added.

Embracing a New Culture

Rashford, who shared that Barcelona were his "favorite club outside of England" during his youth, said he is taking time to immerse himself in the lifestyle while living in the Spanish city.

"It's different, but it's a great experience for me," he noted. "And even small details, learning the language and learning the culture, it's all pleasurable for me."

Professional Revival and Future Possibilities

After netting 138 goals in 426 matches for United and winning five major trophies, Rashford lost his place at his childhood team. This led to a brief move to Aston Villa before his initial loan to Barca in July.

His impressive temporary stint at Villa Park attracted attention of England manager Thomas Tuchel, helping him to regain his place in the international setup.

Barcelona, the 28-time La Liga champions, hold an option to buy to acquire the forward on a permanent basis for £30.3m in 2026. Rashford has previously indicated his desire to stay.

New Language of Football

"It's a new language of football," stated Rashford. "I've always been, like countless others, an admirer of Spanish football. To represent the largest team in Spain is a huge honour."

His display in a recent two-one Champions League victory, where he came off the bench and provided an key pass, earned praise from the Spanish media.

With Barcelona atop the league, Rashford's aim for the remainder of the season is "simply just to win."

"This is a team that expects this," he finished. "The environment is always driving us to be the finest players we can be, so it's ideal to be in a environment like this."
