Spurs Considering Transferring Winger Brennan Johnson.
Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League final hero Brennan Johnson is facing an unclear situation in North London due to rising top-flight interest in the attacker.
Sources suggest that Tottenham, while not actively seeking to part with the Welsh international, are considering letting Johnson leave in the event of a suitable bid.
Crystal Palace are presently the team most advanced in their pursuit for Johnson, but other teams are said to be monitoring his situation closely.
Last Campaign of Contrasts
Johnson was Spurs' leading top-flight goalscorer the previous campaign with eleven goals, and etched his name in club history by scoring the winner in their European final triumph over Manchester United last season, bringing to a close the club's seventeen-year wait for a trophy.
However, the departure of the previous manager and appointment of Thomas Frank has meant Johnson playing more of a peripheral role in the current campaign.
The Welsh forward, has made only 6 top-flight starting appearances under Frank.
January Market Interest Mounts
Consequently, a series of clubs have been alerted to his potential availability ahead of the January transfer window.
Due to his limited game time and the looming possibility of a World Cup approaching with his national team, a move away from Tottenham may suit Johnson next month.
The attacker moved to Spurs from Nottingham Forest in a deal valued at £47.5m in the 2023 summer window and has notched 27 goals for the club.
